Higher-or-lower game show

LoHi

The LoHi show

The game show of real numbers.

Coming soon to iPhone, iPad and Android

A candy-coloured theatre stage with pink and purple curtains and two lemon spotlights
A round purple grump with heavy eyelids, looking unimpressed
Hi, a tall teal bird with googly eyes, pointing up for higher

Welcome to the LoHi show. One number is on the board. Is the next one higher or lower? Hi, your wildly confident host, already knows the answer. The purple grump beside him has seen this go badly before.

Country sizes, baby names, box office takings, the planets. Every right answer adds one to your streak. One wrong answer brings the curtain down.

Who you will meet

  • Hi the teal bird cheering with both arms up

    Hi

The original host. Never knowingly under-excited.

  • The purple grump staring flatly ahead

    The grump

    Stagehand. Has opinions. Shares none.

  • Flo, a pink flamingo host with her wings in the air

    Flo

    All neck, no chill.

  • The Baron, a lemon-yellow fluffy bird on long legs

    The Baron

Monocle. Bow tie. No idea what is going on.

  • Moss, a mint-green furry monster with arms raised

    Moss

    Hugs first, asks questions never.

  • Dot, a pale blue octopus in a bow tie

    Dot

Eight arms, all of them in the air.

  • Rex, a small pink dinosaur cheering

    Rex

    Tiny arms. Enormous enthusiasm.

  • Pearl, a lilac llama in a pearl necklace

    Pearl

Has never once been wrong. Ask her.

What is inside

  • 21 decks of real numbers

Wikipedia page views, country sizes, city populations, baby names, film revenues, tallest buildings, mountain heights, the solar system and more. Every deck names its source and the date of its numbers.

  • Seven hosts

Hi is yours from the first curtain. Flo, The Baron, Moss, Dot, Rex and Pearl wait in the dressing room. You book them with tickets you win by playing.

  • A Daily Run

The same cards for every player, one go that counts, and double tickets. It is the one timed mode: about ten seconds a card. Share your result as a row of coloured squares that gives nothing away.

  • Leaderboards, awards and a little help

Every deck has its own Game Center leaderboard, with 14 achievements to earn and three stars on every deck for a streak of twenty. When you are stuck, Swap trades the hidden card for a different one and Audience shows which way the crowd is leaning.

A prop for every deck

Each deck gets its own clay prop on stage.

  • Wikipedia Views

  • City Populations

  • Animal Kingdom

  • Tallest Buildings

  • Mountain Heights

  • Solar System

What it costs
LoHi is free to play and shows ads. Videos are optional: watch one to keep a streak going or to earn a bonus. A short full-screen ad can appear between games, never in your first session. A one-time Remove Ads purchase turns those off. Five decks are free. Each of the other sixteen opens with 400 tickets earned by playing, or you can buy one to keep, or all of them with a single pass. Extra lives and a Starter Pack are optional purchases. Tickets are never sold.
